I have been cleaning nonstop today (well, virtually. We did go to the grocery store; no we haven't bought our turkey yet). DH and I have:
- Steam-cleaned the carpets in all but two bedrooms (the rug doctors you can rent from the grocery store, IMHO do a better job than the guy we hired three years+ ago to do it for 10x the price)
- Re-set up the blue room (this will be my grandma's room, so it had to be spit spot perfect). We rearranged the bed, added a dresser and mirror, and took out the chest of drawers and desk.
- Cleaned the kitchen. Actually, this is still in progress; I am going to clean the ovens sometime, but it takes 4 hours, so I hesitate to do it tonight.
- Rearranged the linen closet. If my grandma saw it the way it was, she'd be doing it herself.
- Cleaned the two guest bathrooms. Again, this is still in progress.
I still have a huge! to-do list. I want to sharpen my knives, chop some wood, clean the fireplace, dust the den, etc...
I hope you people appreciate this!!! :)

Relax! Years of experience have finally taught me that people are not realy concerned about how clean your house is. Your guests will be there to enjoy your company and the chance to spend time with family and friends.
