So, tomorrow marks five weeks until my last day at NOAA, and Saturday marks 5 weeks until I leave for the UK, and Sunday marks 5 weeks until I arrive in the UK.
5 weeks. Sounds like a longish time.
But once 5 weeks passes, it'll be 4 weeks and change. 4 weeks. That doesn't sound like any time at all. I have lots of stuff to do, many people to say goodbye to, and all those last minute logistics that need to be settled. Canceling phone, internet, etc. Shipping my car. Getting my cats to the vet for their health clearances. Packing my remaining stuff.
I'm kind of excited to be in the 4 week and under range. It makes dealing with being here rather than with DH a little easier. I mean, gosh, 4 weeks isn't long at all. I can handle that. It all seems much less daunting now than the beginning of the summer, when the first 6 weeks apart was just that - just the beginning. Now I'm on my last 5 weeks, the light has appeared at the end of the tunnel.
Now, if only I can keep the house clean until it gets rented, then I can actually relax - just a little.
