Have I missed my chance

A Spinner Shark

Such a bummer! The Palm Beach Post reported:
A 55-year-old man was bitten by a shark while swimming off the beach at Singer Island this afternoon. The bite is a small one, and the man, identified by police as William Carol, is expected to be OK, said Palm Beach Shores Police Lt. Steve Langevin. Carol, of Singer Island, was swimming about 2 p.m. when the brown shark, believed to be a spinner shark, bit his left hand, Langevin said. He was treated at St. Mary's Medical Center.

DH and I were just at the beach on Singer Island over Labor Day weekend.... and the water was murky and sedimenty. I didn't even see a shark (there - we saw one while diving) and this guys gets the perfect bite. Just a small one, enough to leave an interesting scar but no permanent damage.

It was my dream... and someone else is living it. Boo!

Get a tin of sardines, smear it on your hand and go for a swim.... you should get yourself a bite if you really want one... sharks ampullae de lorenzi is very sensitive it will smell the sardines a mile away.... watch out tho requiem sharks such as the spinner get very excitable when fish oil is in the water.... nice pic btw!
