I just finished reading this post by a friend of mine who just got back from a trip to Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. Her experience has been amazing -but the famed Israeli security procedure is certainly eye-opening.

And, in reflecting on her comments about the building of the border wall in Israel - they tried it in Germany too, and although it took a long time to come down, it eventually did, to the surprise of everyone. I have this small shred of faith in humanity - that the same forces that led to the destruction of the Berlin Wall will eventually lead to the destruction of this.
Why can't humanity learn from itself?
