Pissin' 'em off at *bucks

This afternoon I had a very long and wretched meeting that I had to go to - so I stopped off at *bucks for an iced latte. Now, at home this means that I make a regular latte - hot coffee and frothed/steamed milk and all - and just pour it over some ice. At *bucks it means that they use cold coffee and cold milk and just mix them together with some ice and voila - crappy iced latte.

Well, I simply wasn't going to stand for that. So I asked them to make me a regular grande non-fat, sugar free vanilla latte - then pour it over a cupful of ice. Not too hard really.

Except that the girl used too small of a cup to pour it into, and asked me what I wanted done with the regular latte.

"Pour the ice into a bigger cup and pour it all in there." Duh.

Now, according to the "Bad Barista Index" discussed on this NPR story , this little tale I tell indicates that we have a booming economy here in the Silver Spring area.

Because I mean, really, how hard is it to make a decent iced latte with those instructions.
