Ugh. What a drama this rain has been. Twice I have had to take the Metro to work, which involves an hour long ride through the city and back out to Silver Spring; my beloved MARC trains have been out of service because of debris and washed out tracks. Of course, on the one day that the trains were running they were running 1.5 hours late - so my ride on the 5:24 didn't get me to Metro Grove until 7:25, normally its 5:55.
Anyway, life is crazy. DH is moving to FL next week, I'm getting my promotion to GS-11 as part of my PMF program in July, the kitchen renovations are progressing at a snails pace (I've got to order those cabinets!) and this weekend we're having a small "thing" to celebrate DH's temporary move.
The worst part of it all is that I haven't found anything to read in the past couple of weeks. I have got to pick up another book soon!
C'est la vie. It's ark-building time.
