Henry gettin' high on some Greek oregano in the Herb garden
So DH and I took a nice ride in the NBC up to the animal hospital to visit lil' Henry - who's there until at least tomorrow! He looks so small and helpless in the little cage with all these tubes running around him and whatnot (the catheter in his pee-pee and an IV in his little shaved front leg). We visited for about 30 minutes, talked with the vet on duty about his condition (who advocated for the surgery), and gave Henry some lovin'.
He's got a little "Use Caution" sticker on his lil' ID card. Apparently he's been jumping at people who get close to his lil' cage and bit a couple of them (including last night's vet twice!). He's got a lampshade on his neck to keep him from getting to his catheter.
On the way home I was pretty teary, which is not an unusual state for me. I asked DH if he was upset (he said hardly a word the whole way home, which isn't a terribly unusual state for him) and he said "yes." Thank God we were at a stoplight or I would have crashed the NBC. It killed me.
I think both of us were more upset today, seeing him stuck in the cage and not being able to take him home, then last night. I don't think either of us realized we weren't going to be able to take him home right after they unblocked the obstruction.
Oy! What a finish to the weekend.

Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm getting teary just reading this. I hope he's going to be ok . . .
awww...I hope Henry feels better:)
You know I was just thinking of you last night because I was watching My Fair Lady and told Fran about how your cats got their names. Must have been psychic....I hope Henry is doing well and comes home very soon.
