Now boarding, USAir Flight to Palm Beach International

Yeah! After weeks of waiting, I'm finally on my way back to Florida to visit DH. Of course, there's been a little excitement with Tropical Storm Chris in the general vicinity; in fact, for a short time yesterday as he looked like he was going to gear up and be somebody, there was a chance that I would be in Tampa on Friday getting ready to fly into the hurricane. But, Chris died out, the flights to investigate the storm have been canceled, and now I'll neither get to go on my first hurricane flight, nor will I be able to go diving (seas are anticipated to be rough because of the east winds) So poopers... foiled on both accounts. I'll likely not even get to do any snorkeling with the rough surf either.

No matter, at least I'll be with DH for a few short days before coming back to the drama that is my job.
