Answer: When the MontCo police are too stupid to close a two lane road where there is an opportunity to detour, thereby making everyone drive up to the scene of the drama, turn around, and go back exactly the way they came to a stoplight where people could just have turned left and not wasted 20 minutes of their life. Nevermind that the drama occured just beyond another detour option - but since they closed that as well they screwed those of us who know the back roads enough to know how to get around.
As I was getting into the elevator to come home this evening, someone said to me "why do you look so down? It's Friday?"
"It's not Friday until I walk in my door." I replied. After a half-hour train delay and a 44 minute drive home (as opposed to my normal 7 minutes), I had no idea how prescient I can be.
